An inmate died early Sunday at the South Central Correctional Center at Licking, the Missouri Department of Corrections said. Rodney Evans, 72, was serving a life sentence for first-degree murder in Taney County. Evans had been in prison since October 1995. Officials said he died of apparent natural causes.
