Texas County Clerk and Election Authority Don Troutman announced absentee ballots for the June 4 special election are available at his office in the Texas County Administrative Center, 210 N. Grand Ave., Suite 311, in Houston.
The election is being held to fill the unexpired term for U.S. representative from the 8th Congressional District.
Any voter needing to vote by absentee ballot should contact the Texas County clerk’s office at 417-967-2112 or by emailing txcomo@centurytel.net.
Persons needing a ballot mailed to them must complete an absentee application. Persons may stop by and vote in person from 8 am. until 5 p.m. Monday – Friday. The office is closed during the lunch hour.
The clerk’s office is on the top level of the building at the end of the hallway.
