The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:
•Tracy N. Vanwagner, 28, of 111 Redbud Drive in Houston, was issued citations for failure to stop at a posted stop sign and no insurance after a traffic stop at First Street and U.S. 63 at about 8:25 p.m. Feb. 6.
•Jerry L. Simmons, 39, of 615 W. Highway 17 in Houston, was issued a citation for driving while intoxicated after an investigation of a Jan. 16 incident in which he allegedly got into an argument with a woman at McDonald’s.
•Sonya R. Byrd, 32, of 18230 Brushy Creek Road in Houston, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated (drugs) and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 1 a.m. Jan. 17.
An officer made the stop after observing a blue Chevrolet Silverado traveling erratically. When the officer made contact with the driver, he realized it was Byrd, whom he had arrested on a drug violation a few hours earlier.
Byrd reportedly told the officer she had taken valium, soma and hydrocodone. Field sobriety tests were conducted, and she was taken to the Texas County Jail for a six-hour hold period.
•Jonathan R. Campbell, 27, of Crocker, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly attempting to shoplift at Walmart at about 2:30 p.m. Jan. 16.
