This three-bedroom home under construction on John Street in the King-Wells Addition provides an on-the-job classroom for 27 boys enrolled in carpentry at the Houston Schools. Part of the school's vocational training program, the building trades course was initiated last year. A home constructed by the first class on Ozark Avenue was sold by the school. Instructor Edgar Moore conducts morning and afternoon carpentry sessions. The residence of brick veneer measures 28 x 50 feet with a 14 x 50 foot carport, storage room across the back.
