A Summersville woman was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon when her vehicle ran off Highway 17 near Eunice, struck a ditch and several trees.
Tpr. Marty Wiseman of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said 61-year-old Wilma G. Stark of Summersville was the driver of the southbound 2008 Jeep Liberty. Stark and a passenger, Dylan M. Barkley, 6, of Summersville, who had minior injuries, were transported to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
Wiseman said the vehicle was totaled. Both occupants were wearing seat belts.

EARLIER: A serious accident was reported Wednesday south of Eunice near Highways 17 and Ranch Road, authorities said.
A medical helicopter was sought, but was declined due to weather.
