Houston High School students will join millions of their peers around the world praying for their school on Wednesday during the annual See You At The Pole. The local event is facilitated at 7:30 a.m. by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at HHS.

SYATP is a student-led prayer rally where students meet at the school district’s flagpole before school to pray for their friends, families, teachers, school and nation. Although it is initiated, organized and led by students, the community is invited to join them in support on campus as they pray.

The global day of student prayer began in 1990 as a grassroots movement with ten students praying at their school. Decades later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September.
