Outages in the Intercounty Electric Cooperative service area total 30-40, officials said late this morning. Restoration in the region continues with many poles needing replaced, it was announced.
The work continues after a May 8 storm blew through the area, downing trees, power lines and damaging structures. At its height, as many as 10,000 were without electricity in Intercounty Electric’s service area.
Many of those are cabins and weekend homes. Some situations will take a couple of days to build line to repair, said Leisa Stilley of Intercounty Electric Cooperative.
She said clean up has begun in other areas. She said members should continue to report problems that they see. Those without power can call Intercounty at 866-621-3679.
