Houston police are investigating vandalism to a delivery truck at the Texas County Food Pantry, where a marble shooter broke glass.
The marble was found Monday on the dash, officers said.
In other matters, police:
-Investigated tampering to a vehicle owned by Jackie Bullock, of 216 Hawthorn. Someone had broken the rear driver’s side window, unlocked the rear driver’s side door and entered the vehicle. Thieves then removed the lower portion of the steering column and the lower portion of the dash, which surrounds the steering column.
It appeared that a screwdriver had been jammed into the keyed ignition in an attempt to start the vehicle. The incident occurred May 13 – Aug. 16.
-Arrested Michael W. Johnson, 33, of Licking, on an active county warrant for failing to appear on two traffic-related charges. He was unable to post bond on Aug. 15.
-Arrested Dustin L. McLard, 22, of Licking, on a Phelps County warrant charging him with driving while revoked. He was unable to post $1,000 bond on Aug. 20.
-Cited Kenneth C. Lay III, 28, of 1114 Thomasville, with parking a trailer in roadway on Aug. 19.
-Investigated an Aug. 14 accident that police said occurred when a car driven by Heath W. Foster, 37, of Licking, struck a van in the rear operated by Jeremy G. Collins, 31, of Linn. The mishap occurred near South Sam Houston Blvd. and First Street.
