The Houston Lions Club has announced the inaugural “Wri-Tex Shop With a Hero Softball Game,” scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Cook Field in Cabool (1022 Garst Avenue) in Cabool
The game will feature law enforcement officers and firefighters from Texas County and Wright County battling it out on the softball field. There will be concessions sold at the field and donations will be accepted to support the annual “Shop With a Hero” program.
“Come on out and support your local heroes and support a great cause,” said local Shop With a Hero chairman Bennie Cook.
