Summersville’s fire department was called at about noon Saturday to a report of a grass fire on Highway K — south of Highway KK.
Minutes later, it was determined the fire was on Highway JJ. The Clear Springs Fire Department was asked to provide mutual aid.
At about 2:50 p.m. Saturday, the Houston Rural Fire Department was dispatched to 8708 Highway E, where a grass fire was out of control. It was about a quarter of a mile from a structure.
